ROCKETMAN (2019)

Better than "Bohemian Rhapsody" to the nth level. If you're a fan of Elton John, this is a must see movie. For Your Consideration Oscar Taron Egerton for Best Actor. Triple threat. Kumanta using his own vocals, sumayaw at umarte.

Sa personal life ni Elton, it hits home. Magaling ang chemistry nila Taron Egerton at Jamie Bell as Reggie and Bernie na bumu-bromance. Ang nakakatuwa kahit hindi naging sila dahil Bernie treats Reggie as his brother ay nakita mo ang respeto nila sa isa’t isa. Surprising din sina Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton/Reggie's apathetic mother at si Richard Madden as the charming but later on ay scheming boyfriend ni Elton. Over-all, enjoy panoorin ang pelikula.

BODY CRASHES by Rhian Ramos

Rhian Ramos is one of the most sought-after actresses of Philippine TV and cinema. Her recent film “Kung Paano Siya Nawala” added to her filmography where she proved her versatility. In “Kung Paano Siya Nawala”, she plays Shana, the love interest of a man suffering from face blindness. Some of her other memorable movie and TV performances include Sally in “Saving Sally” (2016), femme fatale Valerie in “Silong” (2015), and Althea in “The Rich Man’s Daughter” (2015).

But aside from her acting, Rhian is also a multi-talented artist. She has recently ventured out to the music scene, leaving a cool and sexy persona for the rebirth of OPM.

Last year, she launched her song “Napagod”, featuring Brisom, which showcases her laidback vocals in an alternative rock style. The song has an '80s new wave touch and the lyrics openly tells a relatable 'hugot' story. In February this year, the music video of the song was released. It definitely felt like a throwback video with its '80s filled vibes.

Last June 13, Rhian delightfully surprises the audience and her fans at 12 Monkey’s Music Hall and Pub as she launched the music video of her latest single ‘Body Crashes”. The video gave us a western sense because of the kissing scenes, which added to the sexy appeal of the song. The video also referenced movies such as Lost in Translation’s karaoke scene and intimate moments in Kung Paano Siya Nawala.
